BLADE's Pet Policy

We love our pets just as much as you love yours, which is why we've designed a safe and secure pet flight policy. Our priority is your safety, so we've outlined our pet policy below, designed with your safety, your pet's safety, and your co-flier's comfort in mind. Please be sure to alert BLADE Flier Relations when you are planning to fly with your pet, or if you have any animal allergies.

Pets on Helicopters

On by-the-seat helicopter flights, dogs under 20 pounds can sit on their owner's lap. If heavier than 20 pounds, the owner must place the dog in a carrier and purchase the dog a separate seat.

Dogs heavier than 20 pounds, cats, birds, reptiles, and other furry friends must be in a carrier.

On chartered helicopter flights, pets can fly at no additional cost.

Pets on Seaplanes

On by-the-seat seaplane flights, dogs under 25 pounds can sit on their owner's lap or between their legs. If heavier than 25 pounds, the owner must purchase the dog a separate seat, on which it can sit on top of or below.

If there are two unrelated larger dogs boarding a seaplane, the pilot will request that the two dogs stand leashed on the tarmac prior to boarding to familiarize themselves with each other, as to not cause any in-flight issues.

Dogs do not require a carrier, but must be on a leash. Cats, birds, reptiles, and other furry friends must be in a carrier.

On chartered seaplane flights, pets can fly at no additional cost.

Pets on Jets

On by-the-seat jet flights like BLADEone, each passenger is entitled to bring one dog under 35 pounds for an additional $150 fee. For a single passenger with more than one dog under 35 pounds, an additional seat must be purchased (maximum of two dogs under 35 pounds per additional seat purchased). An additional seat must be purchased for each dog over 35 pounds.

Dogs do not require a carrier, but must be on a leash. Cats, birds, reptiles, and other furry friends must be in a carrier.

On chartered land plane flights, pets can fly at no additional cost.
